Host Frequently Asked questions
How much money you make will depend on how many rentals you own/manage, how many items you add to your storefront, and the price point of the items listed, and of course, how many guests make purchases using your digital storefront link. Hosts will typically have more sales through their storefront when they share their storefront link with guests in rental listings, guestbooks, and follow-up correspondence. All sales made through your storefront will be commissionable, so you will make a portion of each sale.
As part of the setup process, the From Where team will ask if you would like to be paid by check or direct deposit and will collect the appropriate information. From Where will send an email at the end of the month with a summary of purchased items and commissions earned, which will be paid out in 45 days.
No worries, From Where will link all of these listings to your master account, so you will get credit and commission from each sale made through one of your listings.
Yes, there is a section once you login to purchase new items for your rental and these items will automatically be added to your store.
No, FromWhere will search for the items based on your pictures and descriptions. If an exact match can’t be found, we will make recommendations of similar items, and for full transparency for guests, the storefront item will indicate that it is a similar item (and not an exact match to what was in your home rental).
You can list anything that is in your home. No item is too big or small. You can list anything from coffee table books to your kitchen dishes and glassware, cutlery, tableware, wall decor, linens like towels, throw blankets and bedding, decorative pillows, mattresses, and large furniture items. Have toys or games in your rental? You can link to those as well.
Who is to say what’s special and what isn’t? Any host is welcome to use From Where even if you believe your home doesn’t have a ton of items in it, or doesn’t feature unique finds. The only requirement is that you own a verified STR and honestly depict what is in your home.
No, all items are purchased on the storefront and shipped to the guest's home or desired shipping address.

- You can make changes to your storefront in two ways:
- Do it yourself via the host portal where you will be able to search for items to add and/or remove.
- Let us help you via Email/Call/Text, and we will be able to assist you with storefront changes.
- Depending on the item, guest will either purchase directly on From Where storefront or guest will be directed to the purchase location with special tracking attached.
